How to Install WordPress on Hostgator Subdomain

In this article will tackle the steps on how you can install WordPress to your Hostgator hosting particularly on your subdomain.

There are tons of reasons why a webmaster needs to have a subdomain. The reasons might be for forums, blogs, translated versions of the main website, and many more. Some implements a subdomain due to SEO

Now I am thankful that I had a chance to create a Hosgator WordPress hosting review because I overcome my procrastination. This time I will show a guide that might help someone to install WordPress on Hostgator without requiring any significant knowledge in creating (manual install) a WordPress site.

How to Install WordPress on your Hostgator Subdomain?

Step 1

If you have not yet created a subdomain the all you need to do is, go to your cpanel homepage then look for the “Domains” category.

Then input the name of your subdomain and set the name of its folder, please refer to the image below.

If you have successfully created a subdomain then proceed to step two.

Step 2

Now we are ready to install WordPress to your subdomain. Using the same image earlier go to “Software/Services” category. Then click “QuickInstall”.

If you are in the Hostgator Dashboard you can also check for the “QuickInstall” link. Please see the image below for reference.

Step 3

Once you clicked the “QuickInstall” link you will be directed to QuickInstall page. Where you can manage your Installations. Under the Blog Software category click WordPress – see the image below.

Click Continue then you will see “Install WordPress” as you can see on the image below.

Under the dropdown choose the subdomain that you just added then fill up the fields.

Your Admin User name should be unique and you should not use common username such as “admin”, “root”, “user”, “info”, “admn”, “administrator “, “guest”, “info” and many more.

The image below shows the successful confirmation of WordPress installed on the newly created subdomain.

The username and password that you set on WordPress will also be emailed to you using the administrator email.
