Flam Railway

When looking for natural wonders in Norway, you don’t have to look too far. The country is full of natural landscapes and amazing things to view. Pulpit Rock on the other hand, is a natural wonder that has managed to capture people’s imagination for ages. At 600 meters above Lysefjorden, Pulpit Rock is impressive. To get the most from your visit to this massive rock be prepared to hike a 3.8 km trail.
Sognefjord
Norway’s largest fjord is actually the third largest in the world. Size wise the area is quite impressive, but you wouldn’t know it was the third largest in the world. The area is calm and tame, without large gatherings of people. 205 km of water are included in the Sognefjord, making it quite the stretch. The fjord starts in the Jotunheimen National Park, a wonderful place for taking in the true beauty of this water way.
Bergen
Most people who picture a Norwegian town don’t realize it, but they are picturing Bergen. Bergen is a beautiful small town that looks like it was taken right out of a painting. Sitting right in among the hills, you will find that history is abound in this place. From the local architecture to the numerous museums and art galleries, there are plenty of things to keep you busy here. Tour the Old Town area to see the most traditional parts of Bergen.
Lofoten Islands
A number of wild islands sit in Norway, known as the Lofoten islands. Each one is its own unique, picturesque culture. While the environments on these small islands can be extreme, they are also extremely traditional. People come to these islands to live life without the hustle and bustle of the big city life. All of the islands are steeped in Viking history, along with the biggest longhouse that has been found from the Viking culture.
Norway is a wonderful place to visit. There are so many activities to try and places to see. One of the things that you should absolutely expect from the area is to get an experience that would be hard to find elsewhere. The culture in the area is very unique and that is part of what has made Norway one of the richest countries in the world.
