WALK THE NORTH STATE HOSPITAL
The Northern State Hospital For The Mentally Ill played dual roles. It was a hospital for the insane while also being a farm. The patients at the hospital would work the land. Now the land is a public park and you can tour the old farm buildings. The hospital buildings are still in use though.
ENJOY LEAVENWORTH’S BAVARIAN TOWN

TRAVEL THE WINERIES
No matter what part of Washington you are in, you aren’t far from wineries. Look up some local wineries and spend some time seeing the various options. Most wineries offer live entertainment and tastings regularly. Try to plan out your trip ahead of time so that you can make reservations at the wineries that will accept them.
Some of the major areas for wine include: the Yakima Valley, the Columbia Valley, the Columbia Gorge, the Walla Walla Valley, and the Puget Sound. These are just the most popular areas, Washington is one of the largest producers of wines in the United States.
