This solution works on 2023. A series of instructions on how you can go back to the old yahoo mail interface. Make sure you are signed-in first before performing these steps.

LOCATE THE SETTINGS ICON.

On the top right section of the Yahoo Mail interface, click the Settings link (gear icon) and look for the … More Settings link.

LOOK FOR THE LINK THAT WILL ALLOW YOU TO TRIGGER THE UPDATE ON SWITCHING TO THE OLD YAHOO MAIL INTERFACE.

Next, on the Settings page, click the Switch to basic Mail, located at the left section menu on the page layout.

• At the bottom option of the View email tab see the Mail Version Option
• There are two options, first Full Featured and the second is Basic
• Select the Basic and Hit Save
• Wait as the page refreshes then Classic Mail will load

After an exhausting research on how to revert back to old version using Firefox, I tried Google Chrome to do other testing. While loading Yahoo in Google Browser, there is the message at the bottom part of the screen and the context says, “Yahoo is Loading Slow? Launch the Classic Version “. So I clicked the link and it goes directly to the classic/old version of Yahoo Mail. Done with my problem!
